When I was sending a box of tricks home from Kenya, Sharath and Sorcha advised me to keep some warm clothes; 'it gets chilly in Addis,' they told me. Chilly in Addis? Addis being in the East Africa that's been slow-cooking me for the last month and a half? And of course, I just checked the temperature in Addis to find that the night cools to below zero. Who would have guessed? Socks and birkenstocks it is.
There's cause to be just a little perky about the weather as good ol' Kevin has finally signed Australia on to Kyoto. Hurrah!

Not to go too far off topic, news of Kevin signing Kyoto has reached Morocco, whose French-language press offered a wonderful adjective to describe his predecessor: "indécrottable", pertaining to the shit that won't come off your shoe!
